Post Modernism Exhibition at V&A

I went last thursday to see the Post-modernism exhibition at V&A. I have to write an essay about modernism so I thought it may be helpful. I couldn't take any picture because it's not allow. But I'll try to find in internet some of the works I liked.

Postmodernism was marked by a sense of loss even destructiveness but so a radical expansion of possibilities.

"Grace Jones shows the artificial transformation into a synthetic creation. She worked with Jean Paul Goude to fashion herself into newly subversive kind of celebrity."
V&A texts

Buffalo Stance - Neneh Cherry

"Music Videos were vital on broadcasting postmodernism ideas to mainstream culture."
V&A texts

Levis Strauss dress 1984 Cinzia Ruggeri

Stacked donut tea pot 1982 Peter Shire.
I found lots of different and funny designs of teapot, I could see in that examples what postmodernism is, take something traditional and make it new.

"Vivid colours, threatricality, exaggeration everything was a style statement, surfaces glossy, faked distressed, desire to combine subversive statements with commercial appeal."
